This Holiday season VVCC will be offering multiple ways for people to partner with them to unleash compassion throughout the High Desert and across the world by generously giving to provide for those in need. 

Hope for Migori SHoeboxes

Hope for Migori's leadership team has been hard at work figuring out the logistics of sending packages to the orphans VVCC supports, and this year we are excited to be able to offer sponsors the opportunity to fill a shoebox with items for their orphan to be delivered to them at Christmas.

The cost of the box is $5, which covers both the cost of the box and the shipping cost to Migori. 

Sponsors can begin picking up their shoeboxes on October 23rd, and the boxes will need to be returned by November 13th to allow time for shipping before Christmas.

Thanksgiving Meals

Each year VVCC offers the opportunity for families and individuals to donate food items towards holiday meal baskets that are then provided to families both inside the church and throughout the community who otherwise would not have the means to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.  

This year we are excited that through our partnership with Moses House, some of these holiday meal baskets will go towards providing a holiday meal for some of the families they serve.

You can volunteer to donate food items by picking up a tag matching that item following the service on November 6th, then all you need to do is bring that item and drop it off before or following service on November 20th.

Christmas Meals & Gifts

Christmas is an opportunity for those who call VVCC home to generously provide items to help make Christmas possible for a family in need.  At Christmas we plan to help by not only providing a meal, but also providing gifts.  And also like Thanksgiving, VVCC will be providing for both families within the church that are in need, as well as families across the High Desert through our partnership with Moses House.

You can volunteer to donate food items by picking up a tag matching that item following the service on November 27th, then all you need to do is bring that item and drop it off before or following service on December 18th. 

Information on how you can help provide Christmas gifts will be shared once those details are finalized.

Special Offering

This year VVCC is looking forward to December 4th to collect a special offering which will be divided between the two compassion projects that the church is involved in.  

Internationally, VVCC participates in Hope for Migori, through which VVCC members and attenders have the opportunity to sponsor an orphan under the care of Upper Hill Christian Church in Migori, Kenya.  This year's special offering will go towards helping cover secondary school fees for these orphans.

Closer to home, VVCC has recently partnered with Moses House who provides care for at-risk families, in particular single moms and their children by offering need-based assistance, parental skills classes, and a structured support environment.  This year's special offering will go towards helping Moses House facilitate and grow their program.
